I made a [Spotify playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2WgyjGFQnCtKH9eR8pwYtc?si=wUl_m0xLSAij4bPJ-yfrQA) full of songs and artists that sound as close as possible to that '60s and '70s sound. It includes many of the bands you mentioned as well! Personally I love this kind of thing, which is why I made a playlist around it, but I can see the argument for why it would be stale or boring since it's all more or less been done before. Bands who do something new with the old sounds like Flaming Lips definitely deserve to gain the recognition they do, but there's something about remaking something as close as possible that has always intrigued me. Almost as if they came from some long lost record collection in some attic that no one had ever heard before. I've shown this playlist to my boomer dad who enjoyed listening to it and I think that's a good niche that bands like this could fill, since it's almost like stepping into an alternate version of that time period. However it's a shame that Greta Van Fleet is the only one that has really gained enough recognition to be known about among the older demographic. I don't think he had heard of a single band in there including Tame Impala. P.S. I also have a shorter playlist like this for ['80s sounding bands](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0HZNAxNSjbka77JMrB6aMZ?si=z-C-p8uLRRy1_PfL_LOjbQ) since that sound is pretty popular these days.
