I get exactly what you feel. It's why I made different combat playlists. For regular fights I don't want all that epic choir stuff either, that's for boss fights. I've got a few more standard combat playlists. I'll link the fantasy ones I made on Spotify. \- [This is a more generic fantasy fight playlist.](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0dGeHcfv6NbYQlKU9vuyHc?si=58a787c1ee974dce) Nothing too grandiose, but intense enough I think. It's a collection of greatest hits, really, you'll find a lot of familiar stuff here. \- [Here's a combat playlist that's more sinister.](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2JilWkkNfEwe4gxKEaKj55?si=6b7abb59449540d6) I made it for regular combats in the Curse of Strahd game I'm currently running. So it's more cello's, a bit slower in terms of tempo, more threatening. \- [This list I made for when I ran Age of Conan.](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6nODNPeYhQupOjaiGqcieB?si=807e746d55794715) It's a little shorter, and as expected features a lot of actual Conan music. But I wanted it to invoke the spirit of high adventure a bit more. \- [And this is my Legend of the Five Rings combat playlist.](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6k2EMNbVJWKUCCQjqJIBpr?si=56e1f656b2984543) If you ever find yourself something running something Japanese or East-Asian-esque this is the perfect playlist. It's my personal favourite (it helps that L5R is one of my favourite RPGs). If you want sci-fi action music I got a couple of playlists for that too.
