Hold my beer! I tend to like horns more than most, but here's some artists who paved the way I got into in the 60's/70s. I started playing drums because of Ringo, but became the drummer I am today because of Funk. I hear the influence in vulf tunes just like I hear the influences of the jazz of the earlier generations when I listen to these tunes.
