It focuses mostly on the technical, heavy, synth solo style of prog metal rather than the more atmospheric or brutal styles. I've taken out most of the piano ballads and pop hit crossover attempts prog bands often include which while are great for rounding out an album, are a letdown when they pop up in shuffle mode. I usually listen to this playlist with the crossfade cranked to 12 seconds to make it into a never ending concept album.
