Check out Keb Darge Legendary Deep Funk. He did a lot of compilations on a label called Barely Breaking Even. That might soothe your needs somewhat(: Keb was / is an old northern soulie from Scotland. Met him a couple of times he is a very kind and totally dedicated tosser(: He started the whole deep funk scene.
