This is my second time running CoS. My first game, the reading landed on a Sunday Afternoon... not at all thematic! This time, I wanted to give my group something to remember. I pulled every candle I had, and turned off all the lights. Incense (possibly too many) filled the air and I put on my [Fey](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2Q74DyNkoINH6bVilJ9aGW?si=7SdP0YhdTdu5AtArcdifkA) playlist. When I came out in costume there were audible gasps. Behind the screen I had a rbg crystal pedestal to illuminate my face. The reading went fantastic. Anticipation built as I revealed each card. One of my players has played the campaign before, and so she is their "ally", playing Madam Eva's apprentice. I palmed one of her tarot cards into the deck, so when the ally card turned over it wasn't one of mine, but hers! I will not forget the screams of shock, horror, and disbelief as the Devil was revealed as the last card. I think I achieved my goal!
