Good timing, I actually made a "Final Boss" playlist a week ago for our campaign finale. [Here it is.](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2xVb8aHnmbtckJsdmACKxZ?si=O1innvoCRvOslqEIsYGPcA) As you can see, little surprise; lots of Dark Souls as I was going for a more sinister tone, but there's also some really dramatic songs from God of War and Dragon Age in there. That particular boss had two-phases, and when they switched to the 2nd phase I switched from my regular combat music to that playlist and it got some neat reactions out of my players. Basically, the main difference between regular battle or even just boss battle music is that for the final fight I break out the choirs. Adds a dramatic flair y'know. It's a little predictable but it works. However, if your campaign has more upbeat heroism I suggest taking a dive into the various Monster Hunter soundtracks for songs [like this one (suitable for a final boss).](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MblFaDpSbpQ) There's a wealth of climactic songs in there, appropriate for both mid- and final-bosses. Another good, heroic final boss song is [this Dragon's Dogma song.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTNfuztCMgM) A pure crime that that last song was taken off Spotify. I'd add it in a heartbeat.
