aughhhhhhh few things are worse than having tons of work during a cb 😭 finally catching up with everything from today (pledis intern.. pls rt news articles faster) and also doing a longgg thought dump here LOL: first of all thank u for all the nice comments on the streaming playlist i made 🙇♀️🙇♀️ i mostly make them for myself hahaha but ofc it's fun when others enjoy too!!!! (that said, [streaming playlist part 2](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3MFPapXP6BW2AKBhClVzMu?si=c58b6e2339054098) is now out... focusing on some of their recent/english work more :) ) melody stuff: * i love that guitar riff at the end!!!! loved it at first listen and i think it's one of those classic fun little svt instrumental things. * this song was a little of a grower on me (grow as in like, 3 listens LOL). i think i was "underwhelmed" a bit af first bc of the lack of solid like... tension? conflict? in the song... the [pre-chorus](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTtNV6hgDno&t=61s) reallyyyyy builds up that expectation w that super full instrumental/backing vocals... only to have the chorus just SWOOP in and mellow things out again when ur expecting that tension to hit its peak lol. it's a little disorienting! i think it's prob why i like the guitar riff so much... i think it definitely hits the note (the tonic??) that i needed for that feeling of "completeness" lmao (music theorists i might be butchering terminology here...) * basically this song reminds me of a cart gently rolling down a dirt road LOL. the song progresses in a very bumbly tumbly way.. its very cute lol. deffo a Choice and i can see why some people are saying that the song is leaving them a bit wanting. instrumental/svt's "sound" stuff: * arghhhhhh i really like this instrumental!! celebrate tasteful silences and quiet parts!!!!!!! ([right before the chorus](https://youtu.be/bTtNV6hgDno?t=62), [and again](https://youtu.be/bTtNV6hgDno?t=121), [vernon kiss me baby](https://youtu.be/bTtNV6hgDno?t=172), how the [second-to-last chorus](https://youtu.be/bTtNV6hgDno?t=174) is so toned down/loses the percussion right before the guitar...) * re line distribution: when u have the [main vocals pre-chorus emotional rise](https://youtu.be/SQxtoj7ZR2A?t=40) u know the song is going to be good lol. really really liked whenever woozi/josh/hoshi/jeonghan popped in bc their voices are so nice and warm 🥰 i have some half-baked thoughts about the freshteenness of it all (my younger sib msged me saying "i appreciate how darling still Sounds like an svt song" which got me Thinking) but those thoughts need to be marinated on more!!! and all i want to say on the lyrics discourse is that joshua got to sing a "kiss me baby" so im a happy camper!!!!!!!!
