Barker - Utility: Truly unbelievable album, and there's not much else like it. Cannot recommend enough. Synth based electronic music without drums, but with a lot of power and a strong driving pulse. Matthewdavid's Mindflight - Trust the Guide and Glide: Modern new age, if you've rolled your eyes already skip it. Matthewdavid is a master of New Age music and what he achieved with this record is incredible. Woodstock LP: Wide range of music with some great Woodstock atmosphere in between. Iasos - Elixir: Traditional New Age with all the things you associate with the genre. The thing is, he does it really well, and it just works. If you want the musical equivalent of a warm blanket for your mind and soul, try out this record, or really any of his LPs other than Bora Bora 2000. I like that one, but wouldn't necessarily recommend it here. Allman Brothers - Eat a Peach: Great LP particularly the back half. Easy to get lost in the gatefold art if you have the vinyl on hand ;) Global Communication - 76:14: Foundational chill out record that really holds up. They were in conversation with the shoe gaze scene of the time and they evoke some of the same sensations. The Orb - Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld: Another classic chill out album. Deeply psychedelic, surprising, and a bit goofy at times, but in a way that I really enjoy. The Avalanches - Wildflower: I might skip a couple songs but it's worth it for the masterful tapestries of psychedelic music across time and space. New LP is supposed to be great too but I haven't checked it out DJ Koze - Amygdala or Knock Knock: If you don't mind some dance music in your psychedelia, you can't go wrong with Koze. His DJ Kicks is fantastic as well. Indopepsychics - Infinite in all Directions: This is a bit heavier, but thoroughly psychedelic instrumental hip hop / downtempo / trip hop / idm / whatever you want to call it. The Chemical Brothers - Exit Planet Dust, Surrender, or Further: These are also on the heavier side with some intense curveballs, but with the Chemical Brothers you can always trust that you are in good hands. Sometimes you need to freak out a little bit. Cornelius - Fantasma: Studio wizard at his best. The Apples in Stereo - Fun Trick Noisemaker: Brilliant psychedelic pop from the Elephant 6 legends. One of my favorites. John Maus - We Must Become the Pitiless Censors of Ourselves: I don't know what it is but there's just something about this record. A bit introspective and alienating, but deeply rewarding as well. Forma - Physicalist: Mostly beatless experimental synth music. Transports you to other worlds of gently driving interwoven harmony as does... Steve Hauschildt - Strands: Sounds a lot like the beautiful cover looks. Densely woven synth textures. This was fun! I also have some Spotify playlists that may be useful to whoever is reading: [Psilo Hikin](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3O2peloP1CphSaahpoHaU9?si=xM1D7j7UQkCSu5BjQdTu-w)\- Playlist for a hike with some friends. I find it plays very well. [Curated Psychedelia Vol I - VI](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3AS3EjeD2VYOo3LexRjzhr?si=STQaBGHIQmuL9ppUd_oFAw) \- My attempt to intentionally sequence six volumes of psychedelia (circa 2015). There's some freakouts in there, but in my experience the playlist does its job well. [4am Chill Out Room](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/39hGtAnMxG4K2Yx021JNYe?si=RepeIA2wS3qzoDLcSuQCIw) \- Hazy downtempo music you might hear in the chill out room of a rave around 4am. [Sochill Distancing](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/00PgwIWvzOtuxNkFQzpOzp?si=cwBCSgwgSYyyQfXzkdDZZg) \- Intended as a mellow quarantine playlist but I find it works well for any scenario that requires a gently uplifting, laid back soundtrack. [Endless Space Selex](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2XFs6NUPo0cMWX26jvR3P2?si=hb1rkpeDR2erIhTbqSdgFA) \- Playlist for an opening set at a friend's concert. Again, I find it works well for other scenarios as well.
