Like the others who have commented, I'll also say that GBV/Pollard is a rabbit hole. GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE. GBV isn't just GBV. Robert Pollard has done tons of side projects under different names, including Ricked Wicky, Boston Spaceships, Circus Devils, Lifeguards, Airport 5, solo stuff under the Robert Pollard name, and so much more. The greatest thing about it is that Pollard has written so many songs, that I still discover new \(old\) songs all the time, and he still puts out music at a ridiculous rate. I'm talking thousands of songs. Anyway, a while back I made a compilation playlist on Spotify of what I think is the "essential" GBV. There's also a GBV comp album called "Human Amusements" that's definitely worth checking out. Neither of those touch the side projects, though, or the newer \(post\-2010\) releases. My favorite albums are Alien Lanes, Bee Thousand, Under The Bushes, Mag Earwhig, Isolation Drills \(great introductory record if you like more polished stuff\), and Do The Collapse. Again, it's a rabbit hole, and I can easily get carried away talking about GBV, but don't be put off by the sheer amount of music. Dive in. Listen to what you like.
