it's been an incredible year for dance music IMO. ["And Dance" -- Sharif Laffley](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV-ecVYce-I&t=1s) It's rare that a 14 minute track holds my attention for a single listen, let alone keeps me coming back again and again, but this tune is an under the radar, oddball party starter that can destroy dance floors pitched up at peak time or set a heady tone early in the night. ["Don't U (dubbed out vocal version)" - Marquis Hawkes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgIgadZVLVQ) Marquis can do no wrong in my book, and this tune is an absolute keeper. Timeless and perfectly of this moment, both banging and chilled. Booming kick with an elegant sample, like if some unknown Kerri Chandler record was unearthed and remastered perfectly. The original mix is stellar too if you wanna put a little more diva hype on it. ["Pablo" -- Fort Romeau](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KP2-w-DyKV0) Been rinsing FR's latest quite a bunch as well. A hypnotic odyssey with a sophisticated payoff. The bigger festival-y tunes I've liked are "Late Night Party Line" -- PBR Streetgang, "Roy Keane" -- Brame & Hamo, "Cut U Loose" -- Detroit Swindle. Man there's just so much. I keep a running spotify playlist of my favorite music each year, [here's my 2018 playlist](https://open.spotify.com/user/128523882/playlist/4Y7QIyHlZVuCgLGyoLqrkh?si=1kREgfXlSmmZbaKau3zF_A) for anyone interested. (mostly dance but other genres occasionally)
