I made an app/website to help people discover new music in Spotify: I have [TopMusic.Page](https://TopMusic.Page) right now in beta, which has critics' lists of the top albums for the past decade-and-a-half. You can filter by year and genre and have it create a playlist for you. For example [here's](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6iSgsb14hdLZMbBuFNvpbe?si=5923f9b8108d4e95) a playlist of the top rap since 2010 that it created. You can also control playback in the browser. Spotify has approved the app as of this morning. The goal of the site is to help people discover new music. I wrote [here](https://www.evanagovino.com/posts/why-does-topmusic-exist) about some of my frustrations with algorithmic discovery in spite of the quantity of really great music that's come out in the past few years. LMK if the site works and if you have any feedback! Right now the site has over 2,500 albums catalogued in 15 genres and 75 subgenres across 13 years. I'm looking to continue to expand the catalogue so that everyone can find some great new music.
