There's a [playlist on spotify](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/01ljymUSSSSoFOHXBh5fXV) made by someone with infinite more knowledge than i have that pairs up Mountain Goats and Taylor Swift in honestly legit pairings. Since it's called the "truther" playlist and has that awesome image, i've run with it being 'the purest conspiracy in music': John Darnielle and Taylor Swift listen to and enjoy each other's music. There's some detail to it with Jack Antonoff being Taylor's producer and John having talked about hanging out with him before and the two of them at least knowing each other that adds some spice to it.
