Here's another Spotify playlist to help you get started: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0TGIGqHl7lhNPKbbkjl4uJ I follow a ton of venues on Instagram (Drunken Unicorn, the Bakery, Smith's Olde Bar, the Earl, Aisle 5, MOTHER, Camp Hope [shut down, RIP, but still posts sometimes]), a lot of them post clips of whoever's playing that night and I can use the 10-15 sec clips to see if I want to check them out further/see them live myself. I was huge into the scene back home and kinda fell out once I moved here, so I'm trying to get back in and this is an easy late-20something way to do so. Also just talking to people is a great way to start! I found out a lawyer friend of mine is really into the punk scene here and he gave me a big list of bands to check out. You never know! My favorite localish groups right now are New Junk City, King of Summer, Microwave, and Gordan.
