Their collaborations and inspirations created a distinct sound with mellow to strong influences from RnB, Hip hop, Afrobeat, Prog and many other genres which surprisingly fit together perfectly to create anything from soothing tunes to beats that will have you bop your head (at the very least). About me : I'm not from the UK, i started my journey into jazz a year ago but i can confidently say that we are witnessing something here, along with its equivalent american collabs such as R+R+NOW (Robert Glasper + friends). Also, if i had to choose another country i would have gone with Brazil, but i think it was already well covered (while UK ones were drum n bass).
