Description

A synthwave/synthpop playlist with a focus on vocal (but still a good amount of instrumental!) that make for both engaging listening and non-disruptive background music. A lot of upbeat tracks, some heavy ones, but nothing too chaotic/darksynthy.

I'm into everything from Viking Metal to Kacey Musgraves, so hard to summarize :D But if I had to pick a favorite genre it's definitely synthwave! [The Midnight](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-A1_atkAQhY) is my favorite artist, but there's so much good stuff out there--got [a good playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1KzSadPoVihKZja0XF8gOY?si=a584e3f8388a4070) if you want to check it out! Some other things I've been into lately: * [Janelle Monae](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGRzz0oqgUE) * [Poor Man's Poison](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-u71vDm5UQ) (ska-tinged folk) * [KEiiNO](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ud7mYAI4Vtk&list=OLAK5uy_nOAEXtAgDVcCjzTgWLpN1_5ZH5AUboPRU) (Norwegian/Sami electropop) * [Vienna Teng](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4n_8R5lKnw) (Enya vibes but I actually like Vienna Teng better) * Marcus Warner (Cinematic instrumentals; the ones with vocals are killer. But [Tokyo Rain](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JEqsCFrD_c) has got to be top.) * [Amaranthe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-A1_atkAQhY) \- Pop Metal
