I followed this guide and it really helped. https://web.archive.org/web/20200115153206/http://barefootrunning.fas.harvard.edu/5BarefootRunning&TrainingTips.html You don’t have to decrease your weekly mileage but you can’t just strap minimalist shoes on and run the same amount you’re in running now. It is a transition. You don’t have to give up your existing shoes cold turkey — just gradually move more of your miles onto the minimalist shoes week by week. Also, running with a metronome set to 180 bpm really helped me understand what to do with my feet in a way that was pretty mind blowing at the time.
