*Caracara* - 3/4 oz Blanco Tequila - 3/4 oz Ancho Reyes - 3/4 oz Grapefruit Liqueur - 3/4 oz Lime Juice - Pinch of Salt Somewhat recently picked up a bottle of Ancho Reyes and immediately got to experimenting. I absolutely love the equal parts formula and came up with this ode to a Paloma. It is believed that the Paloma (Spanish for Dove) was named for a Mexican folk song from the 1860’s. This drink has sharper talons than the Paloma so I decided to name it for the Crested Caracara. The drink sits on the tart end of the spectrum so be sure to not forget the pinch of salt to balance it out. For the music on this one we stuck with the Paloma inspiration and put together a mix of Psychedelic folk. For fans of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Mac Demarco and Allah-las.
