Lots. Not really sure what I can put in this one comment. For sources, I recommend *Dionysos: Exciter to Frenzy* by Vikki Bramshaw and *Dionysos: Archetypal Image of Indestructible Life* by Karl Kerenyi, in addition to [Theoi.com](https://Theoi.com). I've gotten a lot out of just those two books. For food offerings, all Hellenistic deities will accept incense, honey, olive oil, milk, wine, barley meal, fruit, flowers, cakes or animal crackers (stand-ins for sacrifice, historically used by poor Greeks who couldn’t afford to sacrifice live animals). Dionysus will appreciate grapes or figs in particular, and wine of course. If you want non-alcoholic offerings, he really seems to like sparkling fruit juice or anything else fizzy, and you could also give him honey water (mead made from fermented honey and water is actually older than wine) or milk mixed with honey. For music, "The Cult of Dionysus" by The Orion Experience and the album *Dionysus* by Dead Can Dance are both essentials. I also really recommend the *Euripedes' Bacchae* album by the Petros Tabouris Ensemble, and "Dionysus" by Jocelyn Pook (which was written for the masked orgy scene in *Eyes Wide Shut,* though not actually used). Also notable is Daemonia Nymphe's "Hymn to Bacchus," which is the Orphic Hymn to Dionysus set to a modern composition. Here's my spotify playlist if you're interested: [https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2LTOEAPqKb7V4qHz7wuKot?si=56c084d602e84c3d](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2LTOEAPqKb7V4qHz7wuKot?si=56c084d602e84c3d) Long story short, I first connected with him because he reminded me of my Shadow, and he does bear a lot of uncanny similarities with my Shadow. But, that’s not why he came into my life. As important as it is for one to embrace their savage self, I’ve mostly done my Shadow work. Dionysus came to me for the opposite reason — not to teach me to confront the hard things, but to teach me to enjoy the good things. He has taught me to find more joy in my life. I suffer needlessly so often, hanging onto negative emotions, and having a million worries and inhibitions holding me back. I didn’t expect he would be a good fit for me at first, but I’ve realized that he works for me because he’s different from me, because he has the qualities that I lack. I need to learn to put my anxieties aside and let myself feel unrestrained joy, live a little! From this god, I have received so much support and love, and reassurance. His constantly joyful attitude and words of wisdom have helped me maintain my perspective, and reclaim my enthusiasm and idealism without feeling scared or naive. He's an incredible god and you don't need to be a party person to work with him.
