I actually made [this playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2SQI0CmpY5GNLBq3sPXCaA?si=xPpb6EQ3T3KG56O9jVQWWg&utm_source=copy-link) a while ago, which illustrates the evolution of proto punk music from the late 50s to mid-70s. I tried to keep it short and accessible so I obviously couldn't include every artist and song out there, but it covers some of the most groundbreaking releases of its genre.
