(*missing Microphones in 2020) ***What am I looking at?*** Indieheads Review is a series of album reviews/polls which I've been running on this sub since 2016. This graphic shows a summary of the most popular and highest rated albums reviewed by r/indieheads in 2020. The left side shows the top 15 albums sorted by their popularity on r/indieheads (more info below). The right side shows the top 15 album sorted by Indieheads Review poll ratings. This means albums will show up twice if they are both popular and highly rated. If you're looking for a single list that combines popularity and rating then make sure you've [voted in the official indieheads AOTY](https://www.reddit.com/r/indieheads/comments/kcxoa0/eoty_2020_indieheads_album_of_the_year_voting/). ***Where is (album)?*** Take a look at [**the archive**](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-pJHB30rsVAw1zAHAavr4mRv1Dn4BNM3j0U0b9WbOdI/htmlview?) to see the full list of albums reviewed in 2020. Albums are selected based on their initial popularity on r/indieheads, so albums which had low karma/comments when released may not be reviewed. Releases from December are also not included (sorry Avalanches fans). ***What does Indieheads Popularity mean?*** For each album, I recorded the post karma and number of comments from each of the [FRESH ALBUM], [ALBUM DISCUSSION] and Indieheads Review threads. I've combined the karma/comments from these 3 threads to get the total karma & total comments for each album. The graphic shows the album ranking (#1-#42 from albums reviewed) for total karma & total comments, in addition to the number of poll responses. The popularity is sorted by the average of these 3 ranks (e.g. #1, #2, #2 → 1.67). All info is available in the archive. Note: values may have changed from when they were recorded. ***(Artist) isn't indie?*** r/indieheads supports discussion of popular album releases which do not meet the sub's definition of "indie". Charli XCX and Taylor Swift are examples where the album wasn't allowed to be posted on this sub, however there was a popular discussion thread which warranted a review. ***Will Indieheads Review return in 2021?*** Tentatively yes. I enjoy running this series and it doesn't take up too much of my time but I also want to ensure it's a worthwhile endeavor. I know ratings and statistics aren't meaningful to everyone so please let me know if you have any feedback about what you like or don't like about Indieheads Review and I'll take the feedback into consideration for whether or not to continue the series next year.
