I don’t have a similar experience personally, at least in regards to my dad, but I have lost people I was quite close to to suicide. If I had one piece of advice, it’s to take care of your own mental health, because it *will* take a hit. My best friend killed herself in April of 2016, and I made it a year and nine days before attempting suicide myself. This is a long process and in my experience, suicide bereavement is even more painful than other kinds of bereavement. That said, I collected a wealth of resources for grief that I’ll pass along. They may or may not help but it can’t hurt to put them out there. Here they are: https://whatsyourgrief.com/ is a wonderful comprehensive blog and I really recommend it. Grief Cast with Cariad Lloyd is a pretty good podcast for grief. What’s Your Grief, also has a podcast if you’re interested. https://open.spotify.com/user/vronica17/playlist/2oJsYlTaENqRBOjiatm3Qfsi=DRQt6Jm1QSeEKuLIDQ4ZkQ and https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/grief/pl.u-XkD0ZAJUYVy0RN are links to a playlist I have compiled for my own grieving, if you have Apple Music or Spotify feel free to listen to them. What’s Your Grief has also made a playlist for Spotify, although I do not know if they have made one for Apple Music. https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ and https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/national-helpline are two resources for if you find yourself in a dark place.
