Hi! I’m not a professional by any means, but my mom and I volunteered when I was in middle and high school to DJ the school dances! What I did (and honestly would recommend, it made it SO much easier) is to find a playlist other people have made (I used [The Ultimate Wedding Reception Playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2oeGT8nWKg8c5v0zZVgGcO?si=RgPnBLFJQ7-LSVBVc1UyzQ)) and sit down with your partner and go through the playlist and ONLY add songs you know and like. It helped us have a wider variety of genres and a good mix of different decades! Plus, this way you can remove songs that you don’t like. It was really helpful for a starting point for me!
