Totally agree to this point. The Indian indie-rock songs have more mature lyrics than the guy with a ukulele. Check out Parvaaz, if you haven’t. (My reco: Color White) There are some indie artists across the border like, The Tamashbeens and Poor Rich Boy. If you use YT music, do check tracks like Lighter Machis and Samundar ki Teh Mai. There are other indie songs like Shayad Ke Mai Zinda Nahi, Fizool hai Sab, Sapno ka Mol, that have found their way in my playlist. Love them.
