Baroness is a good entry point to see if you have a taste for metal. They have clean vocals compared to most of the rest of the metal genre. Here's my two favorites songs of theirs: [The Sweetest curse](https://spoti.fi/2PMwiN7) and [Jake Leg](https://spoti.fi/2xuFgqU). They actually transition into each other too. [Low Lands by Gojira ](https://spoti.fi/2xibFBK)is probably my favorite PR attempt song. Waiting for four minutes until it gets heavy at 4:23 hypes me up so much. **Thrash** is my personal favorite for lifting. [Here's](https://spoti.fi/2xkJbra) a poppy example from Zeal & Ardor. Whole album is pretty good for easing into metal since it has a lot of pop elements. Obligatory [Rust in Peace](https://spoti.fi/2NiW0w5) album by Megadeth. Best thrash metal album of all time, in my opinion. **Black/death metal** starts to turn into what most people see as edgy 666 metal. Here's one [Ben Sahar](https://open.spotify.com/track/4axl5sQMQiqhUuu2yJ316W?si=cYALUya4RpiAammiRE1bUg) and [O Father O Satan O Sun!](https://open.spotify.com/track/5KzMpwYY3TPyZKQk9pgJ1k?si=E-5aYJ_7SHuC1ARc_yF0HA), both by Behemoth. **Stoner/doom metal:** [Here's Dragonaut by Sleep,](https://open.spotify.com/track/6qLgGLeawKyhMFJ848XtYD?si=ckVqgPnYRGSh5zxQe2afNw) and also my [favorite, Dopethrone by Electric Wizared](https://open.spotify.com/album/4xaTRMLbZdmAWtUnoYvaTF?si=gpIFfz8WRpyJPA6XAHkwTQ) stoner/doom album. I think for beginners that should be okay.
