Not very into the jam band scene overall, but I love Phish's studio stuff. Hoist, Billy Breathes, Story Of The Ghost, Rift, and A Picture Of Nectar are all excellent records through and through. Trey Anastasio is an extremely talented and lyrical guitarist. He can blow you away with blinding fast technique, but he exercises a lot more restraint than most other jam band guitarists. Personal favorite tune is "Limb By Limb" from Story Of The Ghost. The vocal interplay is super unique, and the lyrics are excellent. It also features a killer Trey solo.
