This weekend I learned that Stephin Merrit had a goth rock/indie pop project called the Gothic Archies. I listened to their [EP](https://open.spotify.com/album/2X6n5SYMm9yHSzUvJaYbba?si=KBPNA7BoQPSy_paHt9u1NQ&dl_branch=1) and dug it. Stephin's baritone voice suits a gothic style well. I also learned the other member was Daniel Handler aka Lemony Snicket, and that Stephin wrote songs to accompany the Series of Unfortunate Events books (never read them so this is all new info for me). Also cool that a Gothic Archies song made it onto the Pete and Pete soundtrack. I think I'll put on [this](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4E0Tjt66gZ7KYqIlSvdOy3?si=07c394e379cb4d3f) playlist and have a grand, nostalgic time.
