Tunes need to be instrumental, so as not to distract from the game, so I end up mining a lot of film and video games tracks. I also try to find an opening track that is timed approximately to the exposition monologue, or the opening feel of the session, if we're dropping right into the action. Currently, Bastion is a good pitch for Eberron tracks, as is Assassin's Creed and the Sherlock Holmes movies with RDJr.
