"Gosh" is a uniquely good song, in my opinion, and it's hard to find songs much like it. But I know you want; you want to be taken on an emotional journey that gently thrusts you into the ether; you want your spine to tingle. I don't know if I can give you that, but I made you a Spotify playlist of a few songs that might at least introduce you to some new artists. The playlist is [here](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4MQUqYZ0jORMJnBUSAd6ug?si=CtYyka_xSWuXZxgd5gFU0A). Here are the songs: *Lapalux - Limb to Limb* * This one a bassy, atmospheric, long build with airy female vocals, a quick background breakbeat that comes in and out, and a subtle but powerful melodic crescendo near the end. I live for the moment the melody starts at 3:10 (buildup starting at 3:02). *Mura Masa - SOLE M8S* * This one is probably closest to "Gosh" of all of them except that it is uplifting and joyous the whole time in contrast to "Gosh"'s moody intensity until the melodic end. This is one of my favorite songs of all time, and how you feel about "Gosh" is how I feel about "SOLE M8S". I'm also trying to find songs that give me the same feeling. *Moderat - Les Grandes Marches* * Moderat is kind of like a German Jamie xx in that make dark, house-influenced electronica. "Les Grandes Marches" is the closest to "Gosh" of their catalog in that the whole song is a giant buildup to the very end with a breakbeat somewhat like "Gosh". The whole song has an urgency that never relents. *Kllo - By Your Side* * Although mostly a pop-house duo, Kllo sometimes put interesting electronic elements into their songs. "By Your Side" is the least poppy and involves a crescendo at the end in the form of a bridge. Unlike "Gosh," the song is moody and not uplifting the whole time but still beautiful in its desperation. *Jacques Greene - Nordschleife* * "Nordschleife" is really only like Gosh in the instrumentals and overall mood, but there is no crescendo except for the bridge in the middle of the song. It does make me feel like I'm in an artsy spy thriller, and it stays dark the whole time. Its urgency and intrigue make it a fun listen. *Moderat - 90% Wasser* * One of Moderat's lesser-known songs, this one involves a long buildup for the whole song, with a spine-tingling moment at 4:19 that is worth waiting for and playing loud. *Jon Hopkins - Singularity* * Like "Gosh", "Singularity" is kind of intellectual dance music with a consistent build that is relentless throughout the song. The song stays dark and epic with no reprieve. *The xx - A Violent Noise* * I know you said you already know and like the xx, but to me, this song is the most Jamie-like with it's long, epic, and uplifting build. This is my favorite song by the xx and I think comes closest to "Gosh" in its structure and emotional resonance. It's clear Jamie had his hands all over this song. Four Tet's remix captures some of the same feeling but with Four Tet's signature gentle drop, which to me is less satisfying than the original's abrupt end. *DJDS - Love Songs* * This one is a bit weird, but it's a song that is one giant crescendo with a catchy vocal repeated over and over again as instruments are added until the song's peak at the halfway point, which is followed by a gentle decline back to earth. The song comes from a concept album about Los Angeles, and the [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qi11LVYL8g4) goes well the song and theme. *Mount Bank - Worship* * To close things off, "Worship" has no percussion but is a rhythmic buildup into a sweeping orchestral climax that lasts almost the entire second half of the song before it gently rests you back down into the land of dreams. It is really quite epic, but it can also be listened to before bed to relax you, which is what I do. All of Mount Bank's music is repetitive but also emotional and mature, bordering between academic electronic music and intellectual but accessible electronica. I hope you find something in here that you like! If you do please let me know :)
