1994-1997: "The Edge": KQRS buys KRXX: Cap Cities/ABC, the owner of rival KQRS-FM, took control of 93X pending purchase from Entercom on February 4, 1994. The following day, 93X began stunting with a loop "It's the End of the World as We Know It" by R.E.M. throughout the weekend.
