[Here's my AOTY chart](https://imgur.com/4PUfm7w.jpg) [Playlist of the above, one track per album](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4qu4ikV7Ltev6JESHHNsaP) ----------------------- Some of the lesser-known ones: * [**Maria Arnal i Marcel Bagés** - ***Clamor***](https://open.spotify.com/album/56FfSg2yi8EnmoY8OB85Sw): Maria Arnal i Marcel Bagés are a Catalan duo that play art pop with glitchy elements - this album features Holly Herndon and Kronos Quartet on some of the tracks. The standout here would be [Fiera de mí](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TV0vXMVzkc) with its bright sound and engaging vocals. * [**Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp** - ***We're OK. But We're Lost Anyway.***](https://open.spotify.com/album/7qCs3H3hblYCCC35NCiNFs): This is a 12-piece collective from Geneva that plays a mix of chamber pop, krautrock, and post-punk. "Beginning" has a dancey feel to it - starting off minimal and continuously building, adding in horns and guitar, taking it to an uplifting ending. Other notable tracks: ["So Many Things (To Feel Guilty About)"](https://orchestretoutpuissantmarcelduchamp.bandcamp.com/track/so-many-things-to-feel-guilty-about) with its bouncy rhythm and post-punk feel, the dark ["Flux"](https://orchestretoutpuissantmarcelduchamp.bandcamp.com/track/flux) that features multiple vocalists, and the funky rhythms of ["We Can Can We"](https://orchestretoutpuissantmarcelduchamp.bandcamp.com/track/we-can-can-we). * [**Pixel Grip** - ***Arena***](https://open.spotify.com/album/3VDkuiku8pAkdonzO58DeY):  Pixel Grip is a Chicago trio that plays goth-tinged synthpop / darkwave with pulsing rhythms and smoky vocals. I like the mix of upbeat tracks like ["Club Mania"](https://pixelgrip.bandcamp.com/track/club-mania), ["Dancing On Your Grave"](https://pixelgrip.bandcamp.com/track/dancing-on-your-grave) which has an industrial sound, and also softer, hazier ones like the closer ["Double Vision"](https://pixelgrip.bandcamp.com/track/double-vision-2). * [**Lung** - ***Come Clean Right Now***](https://open.spotify.com/album/0C7Obx9JEje0BbxIBlcayF): Lung is a cello and drums duo led by Kate Wakefield, their sound can be described as art rock with some grunge and doom elements. Wakefield's vocals are powerful and complement the strings well.  "Wave" starts out with a more classical cello sound that suddenly jumps to a hard rocking chorus. Other notable tracks: the rapid-fire delivery in ["Sugar Pill"](https://lunglunglung.bandcamp.com/track/sugar-pill), heavy riffing in ["I'm Nervous"](https://lunglunglung.bandcamp.com/track/im-nervous), and the layered vocals in ["Sun God"](https://lunglunglung.bandcamp.com/track/sun-god)
