I listened quite a bit to the podcasts "Slow German" and "Mordlust" 3. Surprisingly, Peppa Pig in German is really helpful, I watched it a bit with my little children 4. Duolingo stories 5. To start with reading easy books, I started with Roald Dahl books, Der Zauberfinger is a great one to start with. You can progress to other easy Roald Dahl books, and then perhaps go to "Emil und die Detektive" by Erich Kästner. You can continue to build up until you get to books that are particularly interesting to you (for me it's SciFi, I'm currently reading "Project Hail Mary" by Andy Weir, only in German :)
