It’s the 70s in Turkey and the circulation of western rock that started in the 50s has culminated in the development of a genre dubbed “Anatolian rock,” with a psychedelic tone that certainly became intentional at some point, but I speculate was originally an accidental result of east-west synthesis

If you haven’t already, look into Anatolian Rock (Turkish psych rock). A lot of contemporary psychedelic artists take influence from Erkin Koray, Bariş Manço and Selda Bağcan.
