I like to build out playlists for myself, specifically trying to get at least 3-5 hours in time, sticking with a concept or vibe. I put in a bit of extra work to arrange the songs by key of song (and tempo if possible) so that they transition smoothly from one song to the next. In my opinion, jarring song jumps from leaving things on shuffle can break concentration/focus. Here's a few examples that I find especially fitting for working/studying.
