I think it depends on your crowd! I heard once that "Don't Stop Believin'" was the most requested song at receptions. Eighties music is also a pretty popular choice. I would recommend start building your list with the classic group/line dances (the Cha Cha Slide, the Cupid Shuffle, the Wobble, the Hustle, the Macarena, and the YMCA off the top of my head.) You can base which of these you use or not by your crowd. For example, I am the youngest in my family, and most of them are in at their fifties at the youngest. My family would not be familiar with the Wobble, but they would love to hear the Hustle. I recommend pulling songs from several genres and decades, so that people of all ages can dance. There are several lists online of songs to play at your reception that you could build yours off of: [https://www.theknot.com/content/billboard-most-popular-wedding-songs](https://www.theknot.com/content/billboard-most-popular-wedding-songs) [https://www.brides.com/most-requested-wedding-songs-of-all-time-4774512](https://www.brides.com/most-requested-wedding-songs-of-all-time-4774512) [https://junebugweddings.com/wedding-blog/wedding-reception-songs-guaranteed-guests-dance-floor/](https://junebugweddings.com/wedding-blog/wedding-reception-songs-guaranteed-guests-dance-floor/) Here's the playlist that I've put together of songs that I am considering for my wedding: [https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5Oyk7bF3smSeLFH0PkDrS0?si=5b66dcd6243e46c7](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5Oyk7bF3smSeLFH0PkDrS0?si=5b66dcd6243e46c7) Good luck and happy planning!
