[KP Brown's Top 25 songs...At least for this exact moment. Honestly it has probably already changed. ](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5Z990qLK8ENY7v86gUH17X?si=JVGEjiMOTpKNKCzoZ0DciQ) Not that anybody will read this, but it does help me process which songs are on here. I only did one song per artist. Many of these songs are here because of the memories around them not necessarily due to how good of a song it is (Safety Dance). They are listed roughly in the order of slowest to fasted BPM. However, shuffle is a much better representation on how my mind works. I jump around a lot. These songs are not necessarily only current favorites. There are some songs I love that have not yet reached all time status. Now for the stories for some of the songs to help me decide which songs to include. On my LDS mission I learned a little of how to play guitar. My first song I learned was Pink Floyd. So I had to include one of their songs. Comfortably Numb has such a great guitar solo. I like crooners. Not sure if it is because a McDonald's commercial exposed me to it as a child or because of the gangster theme. Mack the Knife Thriller is the first MJ (non Jackson 5 ) song I heard. Add to it the Halloween tie and there it is. We didn't get cable for a while so I never really had seen a music video before going to see Back to the Future. So when the Take on Me video played before the movie I was blown away. I love the song, but this experience cements it as an all time favorite. I just got off my mission and what was the hot new song. Smells Like Teen Spirit. Just takes me back to that time. Queen is one of my favorite bands. So which song, I could pick so many. But I always enjoy the cadence in Killer Queen. Its extraordinarily nice. I grew up around country music. I really do not like very many country songs. The Devil Went Down to Georgia has a lot of memories a round it and the violin (fiddle) is one of my favorite instruments. I like old rock and roll songs. Back to the Future is one of my favorite movies as a teen. So when I hear Johnny Be Good it reminds me of that whole experience of seeing that movie. When I hear the song I see Marty playing it. Sorry Chuck. The songs at the end of the list really are at a speed that just sings to my soul. (Halloween, Holiday, Brand New Key) These songs are really where I feel most in the zone. And finally KISS had to be on the list. They were my first album. I went with God Gave Rock and Roll just because it is such a great end cap.
