I wanted to learn spanish a few years ago and here are my tips: -Memorize the 100 most common words as these are what most daily language is made of -Watch your favorite media from your life chronologically but in spanish. Example for me I grew up on 90s Disney movies, so at first I watched my favorites in spanish. Since you already know the plot and the media is aimed towards kids the vocabulary is easy to make the connections. You can start w listening to the movie in spanish and English subtitles but I wouldn't get too comfortable w that. Spanish dub and spanish subtitles is good because it helps your mind see where sentences are broken into separate words. -eventually start progressing to the media you liked in your teenage years and as an adult -Find music you like in spanish. I like indie music so I spent a long time finding spanish indie music and would listen to it in my spare time. Find the songs you like look up the lyrics and translations and sing along to it frequently https://open.spotify.com/user/1240784406/playlist/5hyBSGrJpzMRVZyB61KipP -Watch some news stories in spanish everyday, especially about US news or trump. Or news stories you already know the jist of just rewatch a telemundo video about it at night before bed -subscribe to spanish speaking subreddits so they appear in your timeline I usually go for latin american country subreddits but you can find some good ones -follow some of spanish meme pages on insta gram or some of those crazy fact pages on Instagram those are usually small and digestable af -ask people in your day to day interactions if you can practice spanish w them. I am sure you have at least one coworker you can talk to for a bit everyday. Or people you come across just ask, if they say no nbd most people are chill about it tho -I havent done this one but I am sure you can find someone on skype or something maybe looking to learn english and become virtual pen pals After doing all of the above, minus the last one, my spanish went from a 1/10 to a 6/10 in a like 8 months
