I think I am. But I also agree. the funny part about what OP described - Tame Impala is fucking huge. This weird kinda-indie kinda-not sector he's talking about is still fairly tiny. It's like when the world moved on from mainstream rock most people opened up to indie but a relatively tiny fraction instead gravitated toward this tiny-but-commercial-sounding indie/pop/rock scene Like [this Spotify playlist is chockful of these bands](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5mq4JnM1tujrfemxY13atr). So much of it sounds ready made for a TV show soundtrack yet despite that none of them are very popular.
