As someone who made [a Spotify playlist consisting of nearly every official song released for the *Sonic* series on Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6786yCf6ECObduPjVqaKF9?si=f83a867f20c140f1) (with [Nathan Sharp's album Gotta Go Fast](https://open.spotify.com/album/2fdBnNRjamuEn9HLHgU2KP)[(er)](https://open.spotify.com/album/0XkDTx4K978CI0xZuyGUsS) being a bonus addition), you won't believe how often you'd hear jingles and cutscene tracks by listening in shuffle mode! (I had to make a separate playlist that features less jingles, cutscene tracks, and duplicate songs so shuffle mode wouldn't be painful and have a more compact download playlist.) That said, it does feel weird how earlier *Sonic* games like *Sonic Adventure* featured sparse amounts of cutscene tracks, resulting in cutscenes using the same themes, reused tracks from other game modes, or outright using the current Adventure Field's theme. It really wasn't until games like *Sonic Heroes*, *Shadow the Hedgehog* and *Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)* started to focus on creating more tracks just for cutscenes.
