Nearly every popular New Wave artist has a Ballardian song. John Foxx’s Metamatic is an entire Ballardian album. Human League, Soft Cell, Fad Gadget… plenty of artists from Mute Records… quite the influence! Must have to do with the elements of the dystopian future.
