[5x5:](https://imgur.com/NZlxNlt) * I was listening to country because of that Western I was supposed to be writing and oh my goodness... ***Old Rockhounds Never Die* by Odetta Hartman** is so good? It's kind of sparse, old timey country with this freaky dark vibe, after listening to it a few times it's so addictive and songs like ["Cowboy Song"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-uDGsC_RdE) and ["Widow's Peak"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZLnkztJoyM) have been on repeat. * The nerd jumped out this week... the new **nelward** songs (great future pop bops), ***Void* by Savant** (cinematic electronic music), ***Brave New World* by Pornophonique** (a fun rock/chiptunes band), the ***Deltarune* soundtrack**, [the synthwave album I just submitted](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/g7c2mc/dana_jean_phoenix_powernerd_megawave/)... I didn't choose the gamer life, I was born this way. * ***SAWAYAMA*** was good, I'd give it a 7.5-8. "Paradisin'" was my favorite track by the end of it. * Got around to finishing ***Peaceful As Hell* by Black Dresses** and it's good but a bit bloated? I feel like they could have stood to cut a few tracks, but the good ones are good. ["Creep U"](https://youtu.be/w9RSZmltcVI) remains one of my favorite songs of the year. * I listened to a full album by **Diana Ross** instead of just her greatest hits (*The Boss*) and it was good! She really is underappreciated by the pop community. * Speaking of underappreciated by the pop community, I've had [**"I Blame You" by Ledisi**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMSW1Z2UFZQ) and [**"Sound Proof Room" by Elle Varner**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpzhUNDnWnA) on repeat lately and I think we as a society don't appreciate our r&b girls enough because there's so many of them churning out excellence and not getting the recognition they deserve for it. * Also been obsessed with **Roxie Cola** lately, I stan. Also I watched ***Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan*** after someone on here mentioned it and it was cute fun, [**"Raakh"**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mm61s_GzerM) slaps, but boy did it awaken those feelings of gay loneliness I usually keep buried deep inside of me. I channeled that energy into making a [**"Queer Angst"**](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6MfbYw0xbxKPQtIeTj4D3P?si=IBEqzEawRmmt0KSXVjSEHg) playlist and then while I was doing that I threw together a [**"Queer Joy"**](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0wjeOV00IqOZFb5ym24Rag?si=rGtc8zmOTGKff5w9_qCJ_A) playlist too so if you're looking for some LGBT+ artists, there you go.
