[I put this on shuffle sometimes while coding,](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/72Eqx0CkW7V4JoirqQeT6K?si=4f109e67ec0e4f43) I've found that techno is pretty nice background music since it's repetitive and also most of the time not annoying, but at the same time it's varied enough to not get boring (unlike say house, because every house track somehow sounds the same, or EDM because the music most commonly associated with the term EDM is so insanely annoying that every time I hear a monstercat^^TM release somewhere I want to videogame my ears). Also the playlist is massive and gets updated regularly so it never gets repetitive. I love my progressive metal for leisure music listening but it takes way too much attention for me to use as background music 99.9% of the time.
