Pop music isn't inherently 'shitty'. Just because it's usually not made with a deep meaning, and it's mostly just fun, doesn't mean it's crap. Just because The Hangover doesn't have a deep message doesn't mean it's not an entertaining film! There are tons of great pop songs, like Uptown Funk, Drag Me Down, 22, Get Lucky, basically everything Bieber's been releasing recently, Chocolate by the 1975...
