From left to right. Ether 2, Heddphone, HifiMan Arya. All difficult to drive phones, which were driven through the 'high power' mode on my Adi2Pros. It did great. The Ether 2 was the most comfortable of the lot, followed closely by the Aryas. The build quality of the Ethers are extraordinary. The Heddphones are built like a tank, and about as heavy. The Arya had a janky headband, and the left ear cup kept sliding down. For a fairly expensive phone, I expected better build quality. I'm a techno head, so I'm not sure how relevant my take will be to the larger HP community. The first track I use to demo all phones, is Stoneface and Terminal's Floorlicker, a dense techno track that not a lot of headphones can resolve. Especially on cheap phones it sounds a muddy mess. The Aryas came out on top, with a deep extended bass which was tight and exciting. I'm totally in love with the Aryas, so much so that I can't get the sound out of my mind. The Heddphones outresolved the Aryas but were not as fun and exciting to listen to (my main speakers are a pair of [Hedd Type 20s](https://i.imgur.com/VavZgL8.jpg), so I'm quite used to the AMT drivers). I'm a big fan of Hedd Audio and I was hoping I'd like the Heddphones more than I did. The Ethers unfortunately sounded more laid back, which I'm sure a lot of people will actually like. As someone into techno, I prefer headphones that create some urgency and excitement. Overall I had a blast. I had the cans over a weekend, and I don't think I slept more than a couple of hours. I was loathe to spend the money to pick up the Aryas, so I watched a few youtube videos that said the Anandas were a close second in SQ and were built better than the Aryas. So I picked up a [pair of Anandas](https://i.imgur.com/AC3pDAH.jpg). This was a mistake. The Anandas are great, but they don't have the immediacy and low end slam of the Aryas. I had an Aurelic amp while I was testing the phones, but I ended up not using it because it rolled off the top end too much and the Adi2Pro sounded cleaner. I tested the phones using this non-techno playlist as well (sharing in case anyone's interested)- https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7gH1jrRMEsxrcSDS9waO1f
