My take on the common ancestor of all exotic cocktails! RECIPE: •3 oz. aged Jamaican rum—50/50 Appleton 8 & Newfoundland Distillery Co. gunpowder & rose •1 oz. fresh lime juice •0.75 oz. rich Demerara syrup •0.5 oz. fresh grapefruit juice •0.25 oz. homemade pimento dram •1 tsp. homemade falernum syrup •2-3 dashes Angostura bitters •12 oz. roughly crushed ice Blend everything with a drink mixer for 5-10 seconds. Open pour into a highball glass and top with more ice if needed. Garnish with a mint sprig and swizzle stick.
